Anna M. Benware, 53, died peacefully on Sunday, January 24, 2010, at Sullivan County Health Care in Unity, NH from complications of a rare form of dementia, Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD).  Anna was born in Franklin, NH, daughter of Edna (Raymond) Parris and Joseph O. Parris.

 Anna lived in Perkinsville, Vermont with her family for many years and graduated from Springfield High School, Class of 1974.  She worked in many local businesses throughout her life, Readex Newsbank, VT Country Store, Howard Johnsonís, and Mascoma Savings Bank before moving to North Carolina and working for Hendrickís Motors.

 Anna loved life, her children, and especially her grandson Jordan.  She was a Dale Earnhart, Jr fan, and loved watching NASCAR.  She also enjoyed karaoke with her friends, and made some beautiful scrapbooks for her children and grandson.

 Survivors include her daughter Jennifer Stryer and husband Paul of Raleigh, NC, her sons Tim Owens of San Diego, CA and Leison Farnsworth of Reading, VT.  She is also survived by her much loved grandson, Jordan Beaulieu.  Anna leaves many loving friends, including Shawn Bobar, Linda Luurtsema, Karen Ryan, and many loving nieces and nephews.  She also would acknowledge her wonderful caregivers at Sullivan County Health Care and the Willows of Windsor.

 Anna was the youngest in the family, and is survived by Joanne Wilson and Larry of Andover, NH; Clifton Burdette and Lynn of Antrim, NH; Dianne Burdette and Ed Goodspeed of White River Jct, VT; Robin Burdette and Mike Beloin of White River Jct., VT.  She also leaves a half-sister Fran Whitney of Essex Jct., VT.  She was pre-deceased by her parents, a brother Leon Burdette, a half-sister Marilyn McKerley, and a half-brother Gordon Burdette. 

 A Memorial Celebration of Annaís life will be held at a later date for family and friends.  Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to the Association for Frontotemporal Dementias (AFTD), Radnor Station Building 2, Suite 200, 290 King of Prussia Road, Radnor, PA 19087.
